Texas is a unique state with rich prehistoric sites and a vivid history that stretches back centuries to the Spanish Conquistadors. At Hendrick-Long Publishing Company, our mission is to keep the knowledge of that heritage alive.

We are proud Texans and we are passionate about Texas history. It was that abiding personal interest, in fact, that led us to co-found Hendrick-Long in 1969 as a publisher of Texas history textbooks. We've expanded our publishing scope over the years, but Hendrick-Long remains a family-owned company committed to sharing our love for Texas and its extraordinary history.

We specialize in books with a Texas historical focus for children and young adults. Our many years of experience in publishing enables us to know just what readers, bookstores, teachers and libraries want and need.
