Meet our Authors

Diane Yancey
Diane Yancey began writing for her own entertainment when she was thirteen, living in Grass Valley, California.  Later she graduated from Augustana College in Illinois with a degree in biology.  She now pursues a writing career in the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her husband, two daughters, and two cats.  Her interests include collecting old books, building miniature houses, and traveling.

Isabel R. Marvin
Native Texan Isabel Ridout Marvin lived in Goliad during her high school years.  An English, Spanish and journalism teacher, she now lives in Minnesota but spends winters in McAllen, Texas. She is the author of many articles, short stories and novels including the popular One of Fannin's Men published by Hendrick-Long.

 

Martha Tannery Jones
Martha Tannery Jones was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on property once owned by Sam Houston.  She was always fascinated by the history of this East Texas community. She is now retired after teaching for twenty-eight years in the schools of Conroe, Texas.  Mrs. Jones and her husband have four daughters and live in Conroe.

Paul Spellman
Paul Spellman is a Texas storyteller who teaches history at Wharton Jr. College. Mr. Spellman earned his master's degree in Texas history from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's degree in English from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
