Martha Tannery Jones was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on property once owned by Sam Houston. She was always fascinated by the history of this East Texas community. She is now retired after teaching for twenty-eight years in the schools of Conroe, Texas. Mrs. Jones and her husband have four daughters and live in Conroe. |
